Popular web browser Opera has now incorporated its VPN for Android users as part of a new software update (Opera for Android 51) for its Android app version.

Android users will receive free VPN protection, which has expanded from Opera’s desktop version and Android beta. To recall, the availability of the free VPN was previously restricted to Android beta users, which was recently launched.

For those who don’t know, VPN or Virtual Private Network is a kind of encrypted network which allows users to access websites privately, without being monitored by anyone, especially any cybercriminal. VPNs create a private connection wherein all the data exchange takes place between the VPN server and the users, thereby ensuring the privacy and security of the users.

Opera’s inbuilt VPN (with 256-bit encryption) is easy to use and protects users’ location from being shared with anyone by connecting to various servers in other locations globally.

Users are simply required to enable a VPN from the app to make use of it. However, there is no word on what all locations are available on the VPN.

Additionally, the Opera VPN will not register logs of users which will make sure the data history is not extracted.

The updated Opera Browser app with a built-in VPN can be downloaded via the Google Play Store.
